The location was ideal for us to explore the area, including going cycling in the nearby trails. The house was super cool, with awesome decor and comfy beds. The hosts were mega friendly and had tons of tips on the best places to hang out. We had a blast and wish we could have stayed longer!
The only bummer was that there wasn't a dedicated party area for us young folks. It would have been rad to have a cool hangout spot with a killer sound system where we could crank up the tunes and dance the night away.

The hosts, Noel and Janet, have created a little piece of heaven for families like ours. Our children had an amazing time exploring the beautiful orchard, vegetable garden, and meeting the friendly chickens. The cottage itself was impeccably clean and well-equipped, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free. The stunning view from the cottage was an added bonus and the location was perfect for us to explore nearby places like Waihi Beach. We will definitely be returning to Hydrangea Cottage for another memorable family vacation.
For dads, it would be great to have a small playground or outdoor play area for the children.

The bathroom at Hydrangea Cottage was so cozy and inviting. It had a lovely shower that made me feel refreshed after a long day of exploring. As a backpacker, it was the perfect place to unwind and relax.
The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the size of the bathroom. It was a bit on the smaller side for my liking, but hey, everyone has different preferences.

The location of the cottage is fantastic, with a spectacular view of the sea and peaceful surroundings. The property itself is clean, modern, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and plenty of amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious porch. Guests also appreciated the warm and welcoming hosts who were accommodating to their needs.
Some guests mentioned that it would have been helpful to have a few more basic cooking supplies in the cottage, such as cooking oil and spices. Additionally, there was some confusion about the directions to the cottage, resulting in guests pulling into the wrong driveway.
